There is something magical about stepping out of our comfort zones and meeting people that turn out to be like us, willing to share with everyone those stories we decided to write, those characters we dared to give birth, that consume our days and nights until they are somehow trapped in the pages of our books.
What a warm and gorgeous post. First of all - so happy we crossed paths! I loved our editing chat and then getting to know you and your writing further, it's been pure joy! And, on the topic of tribes, you have been so amazingly supportive and generous with the launch of my book. Thank you so much for that and including it and me here in the spotlight!
I also wanted to add that, when I first started writing, it was years until I met another writer and was able to build a community. And because I had spent so much time going it alone it felt pretty uncomfortable at first, but now - oh my - I fully believe in the importance of community in this game. I don't where I would be without it, especially my mental health!
Long way of saying, I so agree with you. I'm happy you are finding your tribe and I am so honoured to be part of it.
